Safety couplings ensure increased safety for employees and their work environment by preventing the dreaded whip lash effect when disconnecting compressed air lines. Through the two-stage uncoupling process, it is ensured that first the escaping air (the compressed air standing in the hose or pipe) is blown off. Only when this is completely done, can the final separation of the line be safely completed by the second actuation of the unlocking process.
