EB 80 is defined as an electro-pneumatic system because it is much more than a valve terminal pure and simple. The most innovative design options that feature in the EB 80 system are protected by numerous patents and as IP. This ultramodern valve terminal provides for all types of valves, various base elements in different versions and with interchangeable fittings, different pneumatic and electrical supplies, different versions of proportional pressure regulators integrated into the valve terminal, all the customary bus systems, digital and analog inputs and outputs, and much more. The possible combinations are almost endless, and the astonishing thing is that they can be achieved with just a small number of basic components.

The vast majority of all applications can be realized with small but powerful valves – using a single size of terminal. The valve terminal can be supplied with either a 12 or 24 VDC rating, and the connection modules are connected either via a multi-pin cable or via any common fieldbus system. All versions of the EB 80 have a diagnostics system that also allows evaluations, including in relation to Industry 4.0 applications. For lubrication of the valve slides and the associated seals, an odorless and tasteless NSF H1-certified grease is used, meaning the EB 80 system is also suitable for use in food applications.

EB 80 BOXI

The EB 80 valve series boasts a maximized modular structure and enables construction of all types and sizes of valve terminals. This immense potential is not fully utilized, however, when just a few valves are required, and no I/O signals need to be managed.

For this reason, there is also the EB 80 BOXI, which meets the demand for simplicity in the best possible way.

Each version includes pneumatic and electrical connections, control electronics, and the option of installing 4, 6, 8, or 12 valves. BOXI features most of the functions that have made the EB 80 so popular, namely:

All EB 80 valves, from the Twin 2/2 to the high-flow model, can be integrated.
BOXI can be operated with 12 VDC or 24 VDC.
Base with single or double electrical control and interchangeable cartridge connections.
Power consumption of the valves just 0.3 W when switched on.
Diagnosis (interruption, overload, voltage short circuit) with LED signal lights.
Option to connect multifunctional modules.
